Our Story

Hi there! We’re Aria and Elda, and we’re looking for a forever home where we can be loved on all day long. We’re a bonded pair, so we’d do best as the only dogs in the house, but trust us—we’ve got all the love and joy you could ever need!

I’m Aria, and I’m the laid-back one. I’m super sweet and love getting pets, and I’ll happily stick around for as long as you want to give me attention. But when you’re done, no worries! I’m just as happy to wander off on my own. I’ve got a big backyard to explore, and I love taking myself on little walks, sniffing all the grass along the way. I’m not really interested in the guinea fowl or goats—those guys can do their thing, and I’ll do mine. I’m pretty chill and enjoy my own space.

Oh, but let me introduce you to Elda—she’s the real love bug! She’s always ready to give and get love. She’ll stay by your side all day long, waiting for belly rubs, snuggles, and kisses. She’ll go outside long enough to take care of business, but the moment that’s done, she’s right back to you. Elda is a total cuddle machine, and if she could make you a cup of tea to make your day better, she totally would! She’s got the biggest smile and will do everything she can to cheer you up.

We both like toys, but honestly, we’re not too picky. We’ve found a few balls in the yard, and we’ll take them to the house, but we’re just as happy without them. We both know our names and come when we hear “Hey Ladies!” We try to ‘sit’ sometimes, but we’re older girls, so our foster parents don’t make us do it for treats.

When we go on walks, we’re pretty laid-back. I’m not really bothered by much, just walking at my own pace and sniffing whatever catches my nose. Elda’s a little different—she’s the social butterfly of the two! She loves meeting other dogs and will happily say hi to any pup we pass. But no matter what, we both love people and are friendly to everyone we meet, even the dog sitters when our foster parents travel.

We’re housetrained, and we love getting brushed and bathed—no problem there! We’re not scared of loud noises or storms, and you can touch us anywhere. We do need a little help getting into the car, but we’re totally worth it.

Our past wasn’t the easiest—we were once chained to a tree and never lived indoors. But now? We’re indoor dogs through and through. We’ve adjusted so well to being loved and cared for, and we absolutely love our dog beds.

We’re just looking for a home where we can be by your side—whether you’re working, watching TV, or just relaxing. We promise we’ll give you all the love and companionship you could ever need. Are you the one to give us our forever home?

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
