Anya and Zurie

You know how the saying goes: two pyrs are better than one! I’m Anya, and I’m Zurie! We go everywhere together, including to our new home, because we’re bonded. Don’t worry about fitting us girls into your car! Even though there’s a lot of white floof between the two of us, we’re short and stocky, so we’ll definitely have a comfortable ride. Speaking of car rides, our GPRA friends complimented us on how well we travel in the car. When we’re at home, you can take us around the neighborhood. At first, we pull on the leash (walking is so much fun!), but then we walk pretty well. Some more leash-training will probably be good for us! We are quite athletic. In fact, we can jump shorter fences, so we’ll need a six-foot privacy fence. In the backyard, we love to bark like most pyrs! And, we play a lot. We may be older, but we’ve got the energy of much young dogs. We truly are gentle souls, though. Our GPRA family has called us calm and docile, so we’ll make a pyr-fect addition to any home. Except if you have cats and certain dogs. For some reason, we like to chase the cats.  We do love to cuddle! We’re not just good with our fuzzy brethren. We also love people! Us pyr girlies have been described as social and very loving. If you ask us to sit, we do it. Listening to direction is one of our skills. We also take treats very easily right out of your hand. Eating is our strong suit because we can eat side-by-side with no problems. We’re gal pals for life! And, we lean on each other during the times we’re scared like when there’s fireworks or thunderstorms. Eek! We’re already the darlings of all our GPRA volunteers, and I know you’ll fall in love with us too. We can’t wait to give you a double nose boop!
