Despite my name, I’m actually looking for a nice, level couch and a loving family ready to adore a 4 or 5-year-old, 98 lb. Pyr boy. I was wandering around a place called Rockdale County until I found myself in a small cement room. I like eating twice a day and having clean water, but a bigger, quieter place would be an awesome holiday gift! Believe me, I know the more I tell you, the easier it will be for you to fall in love with me, but my past is a stray’s past: unknown. Granted, I am a Great Pyrenees so if breeding means anything, I’m likely cuddly, calm, loyal, good with kids, and love being loved. Of course, I can’t promise these things are true, but I can promise to do my best to be your best dog. I may well need your help to get there, but all you have to do right now is please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

I sure hope a picture is really worth 1000 words because I don’t know how to describe myself otherwise. Why? Because I’m a 4-year-old, 98 lb. girl that was turned in to a shelter. I could make stuff up but let’s look to the future instead. Let’s talk about lazy days watching movies starring puppies or dogs, adventurous outings exploring the pet store toy aisle, delicious hours trying new treats, and joyful years celebrating our bond. As soon as I find my foster, I can update my profile about whether or not I’m house trained, how I get along with other dogs, cats, kids, strangers, self-propelled vacuums and other tidbits. But, if you’re already in love with me, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below to set up our first date.
