Look deep into my eyes. Can you feel my gentle soul touching your heart? Have you ever seen a 2-year-old 94 lb. boy silently beg for your love the way I am right now? I used to live on a farm until the humans left my brother Mack and me at a shelter near Augusta, Ga. We are a pair that sticks together. No, I don’t know why they surrendered us, I just wish I could think of something to say that will wow you into please emailing info@greatpyratlanta.com or clicking “Apply to Adopt” below. So, since I don’t know much about myself, I’ll just keep staring into your soul until you can’t be without me.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

I’m Maxwell, just over a year old, 94 lbs. and so far in my young life I’ve lived in a shelter and probably two different homes although I only know about my current one for sure.  That’s a lot of change, mixed with very little training, so I’m looking for an experienced dog family to bring out all my pawesomeness! I’m full of energy, need exercise, crave attention, and greet people of all sizes and ages like friends, even if I’ve never met them. I’m less fond of cats and moving cars. I’ve been known to give chase. As a former shelter dog I’m naturally a bit protective of my food, dig when I’m feeling trapped, and sometimes chew stuff humans say isn’t edible. Obviously I disagree—smelly stuff is the best!—but I’m willing to change to win your heart. Oh, here’s a tip: a spritz of water mist in my nose will speed up the training because I hate water from spray bottles. I can save you money on dog toys, too, they’re not really my thing. But, I do like those raw bones that are safe for dogs. What do you think so far? Want to help a giant puppy be a well-behaved, much-loved giant dog? If yes, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button below.

Hey there, I am the very handsome Buster. I am about 3.5 years old and weigh a whopping 94 lbs! Sounds like a lot but I am still on the thin side. A few extra meals and I’ll be in great shape. I came from a home that didn’t really spend time with me or take care of me.I like to play and get silly some times. I have heard all about “fur-ever” homes where you get to be with your favorite people and lay on a sofa. That sure sounds good to me! If you have space in your heart and home for me, let GPRA know at info@greatpyratlanta.com.

Wag, Wag, Wag! Woof! I am Toby Blue, a happy, happy, happy girl. I am 9 mths old and about 94 lbs! Did I mention that I am a big girl? And happy? And gorgeous? I love being with other dogs and people. I like cats and kids and just everyone! I am just a big happy puppy. I am good in the house and I am crate trained. I love, love, love sofas and keep that AC running, I like it nice and cold. I am laid back and super smart! I have been known to get out of a fence and go and visit the neighbors. Food and snuggles are definitely the ways to my heart. If you are looking for a big furry girl to love, give GPRA a shout at info@greatpyraltanta.com.
