I’m Willow, and I am an amazing pyr who can’t wait to meet you! While I’m not willowy, I’m a big pyr girl with good energy. In my new home, I need a canine friend who is a large dog like me to be my companion. I have so much fun with my pyr foster brother in the backyard. We love to play! There are so many cute pics of us together. I find cats to be winsome too if you happen to have a kitty cat in your home. After getting out my zoomies, I like to snuggle inside and be a big couch potato. Wherever my foster humans are, that’s where I want to be because I”m a velcro dog. I’ll even give my foster family hugs when they come home to say, “I miss you!” As I love my foster mama with my whole heart, I’m a good listener. She says that I am more love-motivated than food-motivated, so I’m eager to please. I’ve already learned “sit” and “off.” When I meet new people, I take a while to warm up, but once you win me over, I adore the attention. I even love to be brushed as it is a great time for us to bond! My foster mom also says that I walk well on the leash. True, sometimes, I pull towards an interesting smell, but what pyr doesn’t? Another way I’m wordly-wise is that I’m completely housetrained; I haven’t had an accident yet! My winning personality combined with having a doggy bff to hang with means I’m very well-behaved  when left home alone. My foster family tells me I like to bark as well, so let me go ahead and say, “Woof, woof, woof, woof” which means, “please take me home!”

There are a lot of famous Mikes in the world, but my foster dad says I’m pretty special! Just like the famous candy, Mike and Ike, I’m very sweet. My favorite way to spend the day is snuggling close to my foster family. Any flavor of Mike and Ike is going to be fruity and delicious, and, similarly, I’m good with most of my fuzzy brethren. Foster Papa tells me that I live up to the pyr nickname: gentle giant because I get along with both cats and dogs. Another famous Mike is Mike’s Hot Honey which is a spicy, sweet sauce. I’ve got two sides to my personality too: playful and chill. Playing with other dogs is so much fun, and I’d love to have a yard to bounce around in with another canine buddy! But, I am equally happy to relax in the backyard and watch the world go by. I’m a very easy-going dude! Mike’s Hot Honey also goes on just about anything: pizza, chicken, and even ice cream! This Mike is very adaptable too because I’m a good boy whether we’re in the house or around the neighborhood. At home, I’m basically housetrained; I haven’t had an accident to date! And, when I walk on a leash, I’m very calm and go at a steady pace. I may not have my own famous food brand…yet, but I’m already renowned as one of the good-est boys. Please consider taking me home because I have so much love to give!

Hi, I’m Gandolf, and it’s just magical to meet you! There’s a great wizard whose name is spelled almost like mine; his name is Gandalf. He is very tall even without his pointy hat, and I’ve been described as a gentle giant. While I don’t have any real magic, I’ll definitely put you under my spell with my sweet nature. I love attention so much that if I could wave a wand and have you pet me constantly, I would! I’m also very friendly with both people and other dogs. Recently, I enjoyed having another dog lay close next to me, and it was so nice to have company! I like to be brushed too. My coat doesn’t get this glossy and soft by magic, you know! I don’t need a crystal ball to see my future because I know I’m going to come home with you and be the most loving boy.

I came into GPRA with a friend where we both lived outside together on a farm our whole life but after 6 weeks my foster mom has realized we aren’t bonded.  Once I got comfortable at our new home, I decided I didn’t like to share my inside space with him. I do great with him outside, but mom says I probably need to be the only dog. I just can’t help it. I like all the love and attention, and I will be your best loyal companion keeping you safe. That is until a thunderstorm rolls along and you need to protect me. As long as you’re with me during storms, I am great.  I also get along with cats and children and love, love, love my humans. I love those things called dog beds, too, and I am a pro at using a dog door.  I haven’t had any accidents in the house, and I don’t care if my humans take food, my food bowl, or my treats away from me. Since I am overall the most pyrfect Pyr who loves to snuggle with you and go to sleep with my head tucked in close, please consider me your personal snuggle dog if you think I fit your life.
