Hey there! I’m Tobi. I’m a 2-year-old, 70 lb. boy who even though I had a family, I lived in a 15’ area fenced in by chicken wire. My family loved me but the boy-child was allergic to me so I had to stay outside. I don’t really know what that means but I miss having the fun I had living in the house and having a boy-child. I’m told I’m friendly in a bouncy sort of way, ride well in a car, and am good with kids. I haven’t met a cat yet and I will bark at strangers until I can sniff them and decide if they’re safe. I know I need to work on some of those “house manners” and then I’ll be just the best friend ever. I’m getting some help with bouncing and getting so excited when I see people. It is exciting isn’t it? I’ll work on that while you work on applying to be my fur-ever home. The first step is easy, just please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

Thank you for your service, Dad, but I wish you and mom weren’t deploying to Africa. And I wish this 2-year-old, 87 lb. girl didn’t need a new home but I’m grateful you care enough to ask GPRA to help me find it. Hopefully, my docile, smiley, and timid nature, along with being housetrained will work in my favor. Oh, and I’m great with kids, dogs, cats, and even farm animals. New adult humans, however, are a different story. I won’t hurt you—I’ve never even growled at anyone—just please give me time to warm up. It’s best to ignore me while I assess the situation and let me come to you. Which, by the way, is something I can do as soon as you please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

My name is Sigh. Or Sy. Or Cy. Hey, I’m a 6-year-old, 87 lb. male Pyrenees, not a spelling bee champion! Besides, I think my good looks, friendliness, submissiveness, and total lack of food aggression outshine poor spelling. As for people, women are the best and while I used to back away from men, I really like the male humans at my temporary home. I’m super playful with dogs and all animals—my best friend was actually a goose! I’m also an adventurer which means a strong, tall fence is definitely in my best interest. I fact, I ended up in a shelter because of roaming and since I never want to go back there, I’m really doing my best to learn leash walking. Can’t say I love it yet, but I’ll keep doing it if it gets you to please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Hey there, I’m Tamsin, maybe a little underweight at 87 lbs but since I am only one and a half or maybe two years old, I have plenty of time to reach my ideal weight. I just need someone who loves me, and has thumbs, to please put food in my bowl. Oh, and speaking of nice humans, a very smart person recently told me my name is of English origin and means “twin.” Maybe I was wandering around alone looking for my twin when GPRA found me? I just started living with a very nice foster so I am excited to discover what I enjoy doing, if I like playing with other dogs (or cats!), and how I feel when I am left alone. Or, if you think you might be my twin, or want to be my family now, you can email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button now and talk to the pawsome adoption team about me!

Hey y’all, I am Maximus. I just made it in to GPRA, looking for one of those wonderful homes that I’ve heard all about. I am about a 1.6 years old and weigh 87 lbs. I could use a couple of extra meals to get up to my best. A nice couple took my buddy and I in when our owners had to move. They hoped we’d be great at guarding their garden, but found out that wasn’t my thing. I do have to learn house manners but I am a really smart so that shouldn’t be a problem at all. I am a really friendly guy, I am very lovable and love, love, love to be with people. I know my name too! If you think you could teach me, I will do my best! Please let these nice people know at info@greatpyratlanta.com.

Hi, my name is Ash and I am a young boy about 1 years old.  I came into rescue with my brother, Jacob.  We both were bored being left alone in a yard and just knew there was more for us on the other side.  Thanks to the kind folks at GPRA, they committed to pulling us from the shelter and promised us both an adventurous journey to our new lives.  I am in a great foster home and learning house manners.  I guess you can say that I am doing PYRfect.  I am create trained, and house broken.   I really LOVE my walks and good on a leash.  I will do better in a home that has a larger fenced in area so that I can get my puppy like energy out.  I am great with other dogs and love riding in the car on adventures.   I will be a big boy when fully grown so be prepared for a big lap dog.  Can you find room in your home for me?  Contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com to find out more about me.
