Eeyore is a perfect name for me because I am as calm and sweet as my namesake! Unlike like the donkey, Eeyore, though, I’m one happy boy! Just like cartoon Eeyore, I love to have my friends around me because they make me feel supported and safe, so I need to go to a home with another large dog companion. Once I get to know my new doggy friend, I enjoy playing with them in the backyard. While my Eeyore counterpart lived in the woods, I like to live in a house! My foster family will tell you that I’m a very respectful house guest. I’m housetrained, and I have excellent house manners. When I need to go potty, I trot over to the back door and look at you sweetly to say, “Please let me out.” Also, as long as I have my canine friend and we are free to roam the house, I’m well-behaved when you leave. I’ll be so glad for you to return because I truly love my humans, including the little ones! I am a bit shy at first like Eeyore, but after I get to know you, you’ll become my most special people. Foster Mama says I adore being petted, and I’ll even nuzzle you which is my way of cuddling. And, if I want more attention- and I always do, I’ll give the most gentle pyr paw you’ve ever experienced! Because I feel very connected to my humans, I’m a great listener. I’ve already learned the commands: sit, come, off, and down. I also walk nicely on the leash and am good in the car. Like the character Eeyore, as long as I’m with my fuzzy and human family, I’m ready for anything! Disney Eeyore and I have another thing in common: our soulful eyes. Just look at all my pictures, and you’ll see how ready I am to come home with you and give you all my love!

Hellos to all! I am the Amazing Macy! I was heartbroken when my owners moved overseas, and I could not join them. However, I trust GPRA and my wonderful foster family to help me find a loving and lasting fur-ever home! So, here is a bit about me.
“Macy is smart, friendly, loving, shy, affectionate, and cuddly!  She loves having her head, neck, and ears massaged and belly rubs.  Macy knows several commands, such as ‘sit,’ ‘down,’ ‘place,’ and ‘back-up.’ (Yep, my loving owners taught me a lot, and I will continue to learn from my future family, too!)
“Macy will be happiest with another dog in the house. She loves her fur-siblings, and they are best buddies. (Without fur-siblings, I will get too lonely.)
“Macy is very athletic and loves to be outside! She will thrive with dedicated suburb owners who will provide her with many walks or a life in the country. (Yep, a country dog life is fantastic, but I can also be a city girl with sufficient exercise and attention.)
“Macy is great with our two teens and will sit on the couch and watch TV  with them. Then, one day, I found her in bed with my daughter, who was studying AP Psychology. Apparently, Macy likes someone who will read to her.” (I am the Pyr-fect cuddle reading/studying buddy!)
Although it may take me a little time to trust, I am very loving, affectionate, and Pyr-ready for a life filled with lots of fun and love with my human and fur-sibling family.

Your Pyrly incredible girl, Macy

I used to hum Sweet Home Alabama wandering the streets of Birmingham but thanks to GPRA, this 2-year-young, 87 lb. boy’s favorite song is now Georgia On My Mind! When I’m not signing, I’m dreaming of a fenced yard (very important), dogs (to play with), cats (to happily ignore), car rides, and long leash walks. My foster says I’m very sweet, enjoy being brushed, like everyone I meet, and will probably weigh 90-100 lbs. someday. Of course, that assumes regular meals and plenty of treats, wink, wink. I’ve heard a lot of humans are in their houses these days. Having a forever home sounds wonderful, maybe I can join you? Plus, wouldn’t this be a great time to work on my house manners? Good, you agree! All you need to do now is please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below.
