Hello. My name is Greta Garbo.
I like to explore – and was found wandering quite a distance from my home.
Like my namesake, I am a bit mysterious; in other words, my rescuers don’t know much about me. I like to play with other dogs, and am okay around cats. I am friendly with people.
I am currently reviewing the script: “Walk Nicely on a Leash.” I am seeking a good director to coach me to be my best as the star in this role. I would also like to begin production of my autobiography: “A Warm Home: The Transformation of a Lonely Pyr into a Loving Family Member.”
I know with your help, I will give a star performance!
Please contact my agent – I am happy to give an audition.

You’re not seeing double; I have been here before. I’m 4-year-old, 85 lb. returning GPRA alumna Luna. My dad’s major life change has him traveling so much, it feels like all the time. Thankfully, he asked GPRA to find me a new home with a family who will always be around to rub my ears, hug me, and of course hand out many, many treats. So far, I have been an only dog and had a really quiet life with a quiet human. I need to work on some of my skills at home. I love to chase dogs passing by my window and sometimes I’m a little nervous with people visiting my house. Are they friends? Do I protect my human? I get so confused. With a little help, I know that I can figure it all all. I love a nice soft sofa to snuggle up on and I’m very happy when my people are home. I am ready for my own forever home and to start practicing all of those house skills so please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click either “Contact Us” or “Apply to Adopt” below to let them know you are ready to be my fur-ever.

Magnus is a great name for a great 3-year-old 86 lb. boy like me who thinks he’s a lap dog, knows he’s spoiled, and soaks up all kinds of attention. I take my work seriously, barking and guarding as does any Pyr worth his fur but tell me thing are “OK” and I’ll believe you. Human “puppies”—kids—are sweet, I like playing with them, cats, and other dogs. Now, I’ve been known to growl a bit if another dog approaches my food bowl and speaking of food, I’ve also been caught eating toilet paper. To my credit, I’m fine being left alone, which is good because I’m not fond of crates, and prefer my nails cut rather than shaved down. How do I know so much about me? Well, I have a loving family but with the kids grown, and my parents working most of the time, they’ve decided to send me lovingly into a new home where people will adore me. Maybe someone like you? please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Wow, I’m so happy to be here! I’m Seth, about 2-3 year-old, 85 lb male celebrating my brand new start with GPRA. I do not know how I ended up in a shelter with a broken leg but a wonderful orthopedic surgeon fixed my leg, gave me pain medicine, and I have a safe, warm foster house where I can heal. I am really looking forward to having four strong legs and learning more about who I am, things I like to do, and who my forever family will be. Hey, maybe it will be you??!! You can talk it over with a human when you email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button below.

Hi, Oscar not-the-grouch here, I’m 4 years old and even though I only weigh 84 lbs, I fear nothing, not even the vet! Since I walk slowly and know “sit”,  you will have plenty of time to stop and smell the roses on our walks. I prefer sleeping outside at night and spending my days playing with kids, big people, and other dogs. I like car rides and make an excellent GPnS— Great Pyrenees navigation System! Well, I may be exaggerating a bit since I can’t actually tell you directions but I can love you and protect you and help build your wrist strength while you pet me. Ready to try? If yes, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button below.

Hi, my name is Snowflake! I am 2 years old and looking for my forever home. I have been with a friend, Little bit, for the past few years guarding livestock and have really enjoyed chasing the horses around and my owners never understood how much fun that was. They were really worried about us getting hurt so they wanted to find us a better home. I am a very friendly loving boy who enjoys taking walks in this cooler weather. I am adjusting to my new life here in Georgia and think this where I will be lucky to find my new family. GPRA has provide me with love and attention that I could get used too. They are also teaching me leash manners and other commands that will make me the perfect boy. If you are interested in adding me to your family, contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com.
