Hi-ya! I’m Harper, and I’m happy to meet you! This summer, I became a mama, and you can see how I put the health and happiness of my pups first in my sweet pictures. Now that my puppies are almost ready to go off on their own adventures, I’m hankering for my forever home! As a happy-go-lucky young pyr, I’m playful and have good energy, so hanging out in the yard or hiking around the neighborhood will be hands-down a great time for me. Because I get along harmoniously with other dogs, it would be a heck of a lot of fun to have another doggo in my new family. We would be best buds! My foster mama says I especially enjoy walking with a doggy companion. Walking me on leash should be a heavenly experience due to my excellent leash manners. Foster Mom compliments me on not being on a puller, and I like to hail everyone we meet because I’m a super friendly dog! As a recent mama dog, I understand how your house is your haven, and I help to keep your habitat clean by being housetrained. Hasten on over to the “Apply to Adopt” button and consider adopting me today. I can hardly wait to come home with you!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

Aloha! Charmingly named after a lively Disney character, my name is Lilo. Did you know that Lilo means “generous one?” Yes, I have a generous Pyr-heart!
I am wishing for an exceptional and loving home and owner. You see, I am almost completely deaf. While I still have a little hearing, it is fading. But, do not worry because I understand many things my humans communicate to me. Here is what GPRA knows about me.
“Lilo will do best in a home where she can bond with her humans. She will need an owner or family with kids that are home all/most of the time. Lilo struggles with separation anxiety, and we are helping her feel more secure.” (Yes, life has been hard on me. I am thankful to have understanding and kind humans who support me. In return, I will be your constant and faithful companion.)
“Lilo needs another dog for companionship. She loves to run and is very athletic and will need a yard, but she likes sleeping a lot, too.” (What can I say, I like quiet time, too, which is prime time for cuddles.)
Your Pyrly loving girl, Lilo

Hi, there. I am Kenai. GPRA volunteers say that I am “a big beautiful boy and so HANDSOME!” (Well, thank you.)
Here are a few more things that GPRA has learned about me.
“Kenai is very SWEET! He gives his Pyr paw to show affection and wants to bond with his constant eye contact and endless affection. He is highly interactive and still puppy-like with his desire to explore and jump. (Yes, I still have fun puppy behavior in me. However, my desire to please is ready for a dedicated and loving human who will teach me everything I need to know to grow up to be a faithful and well-mannered guardian.)
Looking forward to meeting you soon!
Your Pyr paw boy, Kenai 🐾🐾

If you have a dog, I’d love to meet him, or her. Oh, and you, too, of course. This 2-year-old, 82 lb. girl doesn’t like being alone so hoping to find a family with kids, dogs, and cats. I can be home 4-6 hours, as long as I’m not in a crate. Those things are SO scary so please, no crates. Guess I should admit car rides and loud noises aren’t on my list of favorite things, either. I sure hope GPRA can find me a new home, especially so the vet can start helping with the bump on my ear. It has a fancy name I can’t spell, or pronounce but that’s because I can’t talk, lol. People say I’m sweet and loving but you can please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below to find out for yourself!

Hi, I’m Dorian! You might’ve heard my story. I got attacked by an animal of unknown origin and my foster mom offered to take me in and help me recover. I’m on a rabies hold until August 2nd. After that I’ll be ready to meet my fur-ever home! More info coming soon…
