Hi, I’m Lloyd! 🐾

If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate guy who loves life and loves his people even more, I might be the Pyr for you!

My foster family says I’m outgoing, friendly, goofy, silly, and affectionate—and I think that sums me up pretty well. I’m a total lovebug and never shy about showing it. If you sit down beside me, don’t be surprised if I decide your lap looks like the perfect place for a big Pyr like me! ❤️

I’m an active boy who absolutely LOVES being outside. Give me a fenced yard and some room to run, and you’ll get to see just how fast a Great Pyrenees can move! My foster says I may have a majestic spirit, but when I’m racing around the yard with my ears flopping from side to side, I’m also pretty entertaining.

I enjoy the company of other dogs and have done well with both large and small dogs, males and females. I just appreciate good doggie manners and will let another dog know if they’re getting a little too rowdy with me. I also walk very well on a leash, so I’d be happy to join you for walks and adventures.

When it’s time to relax, I’m happy settling down on a dog bed or even stretching out on the floor. I love attention, enjoy being brushed, handle being touched and fussed over very well, and I’m not much of a chewer. I even know how to use a doggy door! And yes, I’ll happily hop into the car with just a little encouragement when it’s time to go somewhere.

Most of all, I’m a joyful, loving boy who is ready to trade my foster home for the one thing I really want—a family of my very own.

My Story

Hi there! I’m Graham Dale — a handsome, happy Great Pyrenees guy looking for a foster or forever home of my very own!

I came to GPRA from a shelter, and right now I’m boarding at the vet clinic while I wait for my next chapter. Even though kennel life isn’t exactly my dream setup, everyone says I’m a friendly boy who enjoys meeting the clinic staff and getting attention from my human friends.

I’m curious about other dogs and usually either calmly watch them or check them out as they pass by my kennel. I walk pretty well on a leash too — although I can get a little excited and pull sometimes because, well… I’m a big fluffy Pyr with places to go and things to sniff! 😊

I’m housebroken, not food aggressive, and I’m easygoing when being handled and petted. Loud traffic and noises don’t really bother me much either. One thing you should know about me is that I’ve got some energy! I’d love a family that enjoys walks, adventures, playtime, and helping me continue to learn good manners.

The people caring for me say I warm up quickly and am very friendly. Now I just need someone willing to open their home and heart to a sweet boy like me.

Hello, friends! My name is Shadow, since I like to follow my human friends around. I was found by a nice lady who took me in until I could get to GPRA. She wanted to keep me, but her dogs didn’t like me. However, I do like other dogs and am generally fine around them. I know basic commands, like “sit” , “down”, “no”. My Story

Hi, I’m Biscotti! I’m a laid-back guy who loves hanging out with my family and making sure everyone feels safe and loved. I’m best suited for a family that’s home a lot because I’m a big fan of company and prefer to have people around.

I’m good with kids (I love them, honestly!) and I get along well with cats and small dogs. When it comes to larger dogs, I’m happiest as the only dog in the house or with a submissive female.

I’m house-trained, I always ask to go outside by giving a little whine. I’ve got a low energy level, so I’m not one for long, exhausting walks, but I’m happy to go for a short stroll with you! I enjoy car rides, and I can’t resist a good dog toy or chew bone.

I already know the commands: sit, stay, and down! I’m a quick learner, and I love getting praise when I do things right. I’m soft and cuddly, and I love to snuggle up and get pets all day long. Brushing is like getting pets too, so I enjoy being brushed—it’s a win-win!

I’m a little sensitive to loud noises but I’m pretty good at adjusting to my environment. I do like to guard my home, so I’ll bark if something seems off.

Good morning, Sunshine! I’m Abner, and my name means “light.” I’ve been told I’m like a ray of sunshine because of my sweet and mellow personality. Right now, I’m like a sunrise, slowly warming up to all the humans I meet. I take time to learn about the people I interact with, and then I can start to trust them. My favorite way to get to know you is by sniffing. Instead of being sun-kissed, you’ll get little nose kisses from me! After a few sniffs, I’ll also take treats gently from you if you place them near me. Treat-giving and sniffing are great ways for us to start bonding. Hi, y’all! My name is Moose. I was a stray until this nice couple rescued and fostered me. My foster Dad says that I’m the sweetest boy! He tells me that I am a love bug because I just want to snuggle and give nose kisses. I’m also great with kids. I have a blast frolicking with my foster’s grandchildren. I’m very chill and get along with other dogs and cats too. My foster family also thinks I’m very special because I’m a pyredoodle! While I may not be pure pyr, I have some key pyr characteristics. I LOVE to wander, so I will need a tall fence to keep me safe. I am house-trained as well and will let you know when I need to go out. Us pyrs are very smart! Overall, though, I’m a very mellow boy that just needs a bit of training which should go well because I’m eager to please. I can’t wait to go home with my bestest fur-ever family to nuzzle and protect.
