Well, I made it to GPRA, the first stop on my way to finding a loving home. I’m about 2 years old and at only 75 lbs., I need about 30 lbs. to reach handsome hunk status. The shelter folks who kept me before GPRA said I seem to be a happy boy who gets along just fine with other dogs. And if you look closely at my face, you’ll see the perfect spot, just between my eyes, for kisses. Then if you look slightly left, and slightly right, you’ll see two perfect places to hold my head while you use this factory-installed kiss spot. Humans call these ears, but I think of them as hug-handles. I wish I could share more about myself, but I need a foster to tell me some stuff then I can tell you. Or, we could skip the foster and go right to forever if you’re ready! Just email info@greatpyratlanta.com or please click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

Hi, I’m only 75 lbs. and because I’m just 4-years-old, I don’t remember the TV show Blossom. Thankfully we only share a name and not our fashion sense. There’s no way you’d see me in hats with giant flowers attached! In fact, you’re much more likely to see me chilling while I wait for some ear rubs. Sometimes barking dogs make me nervous but the few people who’ve met me say I’m “just so sweet.” GPRA found me with ticks and a less-than-elegant coat. This is not how a lady presents herself so I’m excited about all the healthy living coming my way. I just don’t know where I’ll be living. Hey, maybe this is where you come in? Maybe we could live together? Or meet for a milk bone and fresh bowl of water? If you agree, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Hi, I’m Bear, a 10-month-old, 76 lb boy who barks politely to go outside, sleeps all night, loves to play fetch, knows some basic commands, and dutifully patrols the backyard to protect my family. Pretty impressive for a puppy, huh? I am proud of me but  since my first family’s small dog was much less enthralled with my presence, I unfortunately spent too much time in some place called a “garage.” I don’t like garages. I am also a bit timid around strangers or in new situations so thanks in advance if you can help with me grow through this stuff. Of course if you adopt me, we will not be strangers and your house will be familiar.  Want to talk to a human about me? If yes, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button.

Hi everyone, my name is Bailey S.  I am a gorgeous 2 year old girl and weight 75.  I am new to GPRA and I am ready to join a family that will spend time with me and show me the world.  I grew up in a loving family and had great childhood memories but they all started to change when the families child started showing symptoms of being allergic to me.  We all tried to find a way for this to work and allow me to stay with my family, but it was decided that they could not allow me to be inside anymore.  They knew I was unhappy and wanted to be with the family.  That’s when they decided that I needed to find another family that would be able to give me what I wanted.   I am a average energy kind of gal that does like to be with my humans.  I am good with other dogs as long as they are not too aggressive with me and I just love kiddos.  I will most enjoy taking new adventures with my family and exploring the unknown.  Do I sound like the PYRfect girl to you?  Then contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com.
