So, what does a 1.5 or 2-year-old, 74 lb. girl have to do to get noticed around here? You can see I’m beautiful and have a lovely smile even though I used to live in a Valdosta shelter. I heard people say I’m good with other dogs, but I so do not know what that means. Honestly, I think I’d be good in any situation, but I guess I need some time to truly discover my real self. I’ve heard there are a lot more people in Atlanta so hopefully, it will be easier to find a safe, loving, home where I can grow from a young lady into a well-cared-for senior canine citizen. Want to spend my best years with me? If yes, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below and we can continue this very promising conversation.

Get this, my namesake is a water spirit similar to a mermaid! Yep, this 2-year-old, 74 lb. girl is named for a beautiful, captivating mythical creature in German folklore who stood on a rock along the Rhine river. I think it’s appropriate since I’m also beautiful and love to stand guard on the couch. The humans at the vet’s office say I’m sweet, take treats very gently, and love being groomed. This is a good thing since GPRA rescued me covered in matts. And now that I’m looking my best self, I’m ready to live my best life. If you please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below, my best life might be with you!

Hello! I’m Blanca! Please keep reading if you are dog-smart, patient, and ready to help grow this 1-year-old, 80 lb. female into a regal, well-loved Pyr. My owner says I’m very sweet with kids and adults, that I like strangers, and I’m great with other dogs. I might like cats; I’ll let you know after I meet one for the first time. Like most young dogs, I need some consistent and gentle training. Hopefully my new family will teach me to walk on a leash, sit down when I greet people instead of launching myself into their arms (I can’t help it, I just get so excited!!), and stay in my own yard. I love people and kids so much I’ve been jumping the fence to visit the neighbors. Living inside might be nice, too since my family started keeping me on a chain during the day (remember the fence thing) and I sleep alone in an enclosed in porch at night. I’ll work really hard at what humans call potty training. I don’t know why I’m being re-homed but I’m all for GPRA finding me the right fur-ever family! If you’re that family, or want some more information before you decide, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Woof! I am Asher! I am 1 year old and about 75 lbs. I was just over visiting the school to hang out with some kids. Guess that’s not allowed. I really liked those kids! Sigh. Well, at least I made it to GPRA to find a great home. Maybe there will be kids! I like dogs too. They’re fun! I am a very sweet and lovable fella that is really enjoying life! I will need a place with a tall fence because I am really good at climbing. I do prefer my walks each day and will look forward to that bonding time.  I love taking car rides too. After that, I need a nap. I really like naps. I hope I find a new family to spend all my time with soon!  Contact GPRA today to learn more about me at info@greatpyratlanta.com.

Wiggle! Wiggle! Hi! I’m Dalton. I am Pyr-mix fella about 2.5 years old. I weigh in at about 85 lbs. I just rolled in to GPRA to see if I could find myself one of those awesome homes I heard about. A kind lady took me in when my family moved away. I loved, loved, loved her but she said that “I deserved better than a little old lady that couldn’t play.” I don’t know about that, but she said I might be able to have some kids to play with so, I packed my bag and here I am. I’m learning how to do a great job in the house. Playing with other dogs is lots of fun, and I have even met some CATS! If you’ve got some love to share, I’d love to go home with you! Hello, my name is Bella T.  I am around 5 years old and a little on the smaller side at 74 lbs.  I am a shy girl at first when you meet me however, once I warm up to you, we will be best of friends.  I have been in a home but I was not socially accepted into the family so I spent a lot of time on my own.  This new group I joined is helping me build my confidence and teaching me how to make new friends.  I know in a very short time, I will be the best PYR thanks to my great foster family.  I already have good house manners and I am pretty laid back too.  If you are interested in finding out more about me, contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com.

Hi everyone, I’m Jacob, a young boy, about 2 years old and only 74 lbs and could stand to gain a little weight.  Like my brother Ash, I did not want to stay at home and was surrendered to the county shelter.  We were both bored being left alone in a yard and just knew there was more for us on the other side.  Thanks to the kind folks at GPRA, they committed to pulling us from the shelter and promised us both an adventurous journey to our new lives.  I have a wonderful volunteer who walks me daily and is teaching me new things.  Just the other day, she introduced me to her co-workers.  Man, that was great.  Everyone was excited to meet me and gave me a lot of attention.  I think I can get used to this real quick.  I am a little shy at first when meeting new people but I get over that real quick once I know you.  I have a gentle spirt and looking for my forever home.  Can you find room in your home for me?  Contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com to find out more about me.
