Merlin’s Beard, I made it to GPRA! I’m Harry Potter, a 68 lb, 2 year old boy who, like my name sake, believes it’s no good crying over spilt potions. I love to play and run. I have been working really hard in my foster home with what they call “training”. I know lots of commands and even love my crate! I have learned so many things and just love being with my people. I think I’d like a family that will be home with me a lot and want to take me with them when they go out. I really like to play and adventure with my “person”. I’m what they call “busy”. I keep track of everything that is going on around me. I like dogs that are about my size to play with. Those little dogs aren’t as much fun since they just can’t seem to play the way I do. Maybe you, or someone you know, will be my Patronus—my souls’ protector? You do not need a magic wand to find out, just email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button below.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

I kinda match the first part of my name: a 7-year-old, 68 lb. girl who like snow, is all white and just appeared out of nowhere. Thanks to GRPA I’m getting a chance to find myself and a fur-ever family. The shelter staffer said I’m a farm dog who apparently didn’t like farming because I kept escaping over a chain link fence. She also told a co-worker I love being brushed and since I’m scared of inside floor surfaces, they carried me outside to potty. I’ve heard other roaming dogs learned to walk on carpet and tile so I bet I will, too. This is where you’d tell me about you except since I can’t read, will you please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below so we can get together and talk?

Hey, I’m Ellee, a two-year-old 68 lb. girl adopted in the 11th hour by the kindest older couple who wanted to save my life. That scary clock was really ticking and after their loving deed, it’s time to find my forever home. None of us know a lot about me but I was probably a family dog since I “sit” and “stay”, don’t make any noise or potty in the house. Right now I’m spending my days outside, unless it’s raining, and sleeping inside in something called a laundry room. I do know ear and tummy rubs are the best, cats are good company, and since I’m so calm, I might like kids but I really do not know yet. Oh, and I’m super grateful to GPRA for helping me, they think that I am a Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix. Want to see me jump up and lay my head on your shoulder when you pat your chest? All you have to do is please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click the “Apply to Adopt” button below.

Hi, I’m Lucy W, a 2 year old, shy gal as I am learning my new surroundings.  I know I will like you but people haven’t always been too kind to me in the past.  GPRA has made the same promise to me that they have done to each and every dog that has walked into these doors.  I know my forever family is just around the corner waiting for me.  While I was at the shelter, I developed a nasty cold and since have been treated and all better to start my search.  I haven’t met any other dog that I didn’t like.  If you are ready for a great lasting friendship, look no further!  Contact GPRA today for more information about me at info@greatpyratlanta.com

Hi, I’m Hero, a 1 year old young boy who wants to be the hero of your house. I had a bad report card last semester in school and I failed some of my classes. With that, I am having to give up my dream of being LGD and settle for a life in the suburbs. How bad can that be? I did love being is school and loved learning but I know I will do best at being a companion dog for a family instead. I am learning everyday new tricks and manners with my new foster home and get along great with my fur siblings. I ride well in a car and love to have my ears scratched. If you think I would be the PYRfect buddy, contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com for more information.
