Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

I’m Charlie, a 3-year-old, 65 lb. smiley boy and am looking for that just right person to give me a world of attention and companionship. I will curl up right next you on your sofa and bed! I also really enjoy a calm and quiet home environment, so I would possibly do best with older kids in the home. I love to be where my people are. Oh, and if you have a cat that would be great. I love cats, and I miss my best friend who crossed over the kitty rainbow bridge. I enjoy walks and do love to run around and play, too. I know most pyrs don’t play fetch, but I can! I like balls, bones, and toys. I love a routine and a favorite part of my day is nice long walks and then a nice snuggle. I know I need a very patient dog-savvy owner because I don’t always like other dogs. Some are OK, some, not so much. I might be happiest being the only pup in the house. I can be a little timid in new situations and am working on my confidence with a little training while I’m here. I have other great qualities, too! I’m house trained, and I’m working on how to let you know that it’s time to go. I’m great left alone at home, unless there’s fireworks. I don’t love all that noise. I love being brushed, but I can be sensitive on my hind legs. I will need you to be gentle and until I know I can trust you. It takes me a little while to settle in and know I can count on you to keep me safe, but once I do I will be your most loyal companion. Actually, if you please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below, we can start right now. I’m ready to be your best friend forever!

Want to buy a vowel? If you don’t need a letter, how about adopting a sweet dog recently spared from a puppy mill? I’m Vanna, a 1 or 2-year-old, 65 lb. girl and I sure hope my turn at the GPRA wheel of luck brings me the ultimate prize: a furever family! I wish I could tell you awesome things about myself but all I know is I’ve never been allowed inside, haven’t had enough food and safe drinking water, and no one’s ever loved me. The good news is because I’m so young, I’ll probably learn how to be a great dog really fast. All I need is a dog-smart, empathetic, and patient leader. You maybe? Please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below so we can try.

Want a Tesla for under $30,000? Well, here I am, a 1-year old, sleek, 65 lb. girl ready to raise your status and make your neighbors’ heads turn! I need a new home because my first family is getting a new house and they cannot take me when they move. It’s kinda sad but also exciting to have a chance to live with people who will give me a lot of attention, toys, and maybe kids or a dog to play with, too? As long as you pet me and talk to me and let me know   you love me, I’m happy! Oh, and I’m also house trained and OK being crated, although I’d rather be with you. If you’re feeling the same way, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Look at me! I am a petite, fun loving, young girl named Sayla. I am around 8 months old and have decided that I did not want to be a working dog. I am a pretty smart girl and have figured out that I would rather be a family dog and get spoiled with love and attention. I am going to need some help learning house manners, but I can assure you that I will learn this quickly. I am in search for my forever home and promise I will be a wonderful addition to your family. If you are interested in learning more about me, please contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com

Hey y’all, I’m Roadie, named for the way I was found by a great family to took me in last summer. Unfortunately, I don’t get along with one dog in the household even after several months. My savior family contacted GPRA and they are going to find me a great home! I am approximately 5 yrs old and only 65 lbs. I am looking for my forever home where I can get fattened up and spoiled.  I love taking car rides and taking long walks.  I get along with other dogs, don’t mind being around cats and love kids.  I am a great addition to any family.  If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact GPRA today at info@greatpyratlanta.com.

Hello, I am the lovely Violet, found wandering and alone by County Animal Control who got me off the streets. I am about 5 years old and rather underweight at only 65 lbs. I believe my name says it all about me, I am soft and sweet but far from shrinking and one of the prettiest colors as well.  I would love a home where I have fur-sibling and kids to play with.  I am full of energy and love spending time outside.  I enjoy talking long walked and watching cartoons.  I am looking to join a family that will give me the attention I deserve.  If you think I would make a great addition to your family, please contact GPRA at info@greatpyratlanta.com for more information.
