My Story
Hi! I’m Layla, a sweet and playful gal, and I’m looking for my forever home. Let me tell you a little about myself:
I came from an animal shelter and now I’m with a wonderful foster family who is helping me find my perfect family.
I love all the food—I’m not picky at all. Dry food, wet food, treats, bones… if it’s edible, I’m interested! I’ll never turn down a snack, and I don’t mind sharing my food bowl with humans, although I haven’t been around other dogs yet to know how I feel about sharing with them. But don’t worry, I’m not the possessive type—I’m totally cool with having my toys or treats taken away with no fuss.
I’m a bit of a mix when it comes to activity. Sometimes I’m a total couch potato and just want to curl up with you for some snuggles and pets (which, by the way, I love). Other times, I’m a little ball of energy who would happily chase after a ball and run around the yard for hours. I’m a pretty well-rounded girl—fun and active when it’s time to play, but also super chill when you just want to relax together.
I know how to sit, and I’m pretty well-behaved on a leash, so you won’t have trouble walking me around the neighborhood. I’m friendly with people, adults and kids alike, and I’ve been a good girl meeting new people in the house.
Oh, and I love being brushed! I’m a big fan of pets and belly rubs too (who isn’t?). You can touch my ears, paws, and pretty much anywhere without me getting upset. I’m super tolerant when it comes to handling, so you won’t have to worry about that.
I don’t mind being left alone when you go out, and I won’t bark or whine for long—just a little cry when you leave, but it stops after about 10 minutes.
If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing companion who can be both a playful pup and a relaxed couch buddy, I’m your girl! I’m a little bit smaller than most Pyrenees, so I’m just the right size for cuddling, and I don’t drool or bark excessively—bonus! I promise I’ll make you smile every day with my goofy, loving personality. 💖
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
