My Story
Hi there, I’m Dino! 🐾
Yep, like the dinosaur — but I promise I’m more snuggles than stomp!
I’m a gentle soul with a heart full of curiosity and a brain that’s soaking up everything like a sponge. Life indoors is still a bit new to me, but I’m learning fast and doing my best every day. I’m a shy guy at first, but once I trust you (especially if you come bearing chicken jerky from Costco — my absolute favorite!), I’m all in for quiet snuggles and soft chin rubs.
I’m what you’d call “a work in progress,” but isn’t that part of the adventure? I’ve learned that walks are actually awesome (though I still think leashes are a little weird), and car rides? I’m totally into those, especially if my doggy buddy is coming along. I love exploring the yard, chasing butterflies and planes (yes, really), and being part of the pack.
Speaking of packs, I really hope my forever home includes a dog friend. I’m like a little duckling — I learn best by watching and following another dog’s lead. My foster brother has been teaching me the ropes, and I’d love to keep learning from a new best friend in my next home.
I’m crate-experienced and working on house training. I do best with a good routine and plenty of praise when I “go” outside. Loud noises like storms or garbage trucks still make me nervous, but I feel braver when I’m with my people and dog pals.
I’m not quite ready for belly rubs from strangers, and I’d prefer a calm, patient home—maybe one without young kids, just because I’m still building my confidence around humans. Teenagers or adults who understand that I need time and space will be my kind of people.
What makes me really special? My signature head tilt when I’m trying to understand you better. It gets all the smiles! I’m not a big barker, I rarely drool, and I don’t try to escape fences—but I do love a good dig in some freshly rained-on dirt.
With love, treats, and a little time, I’ll be the loyal, goofy, curious companion you didn’t know you needed. If you’ve got a dog who wants a shadow and a yard where I can stretch my legs, I think we might be the perfect match.
Can I come home with you?
Love,
Dino 🐶💛

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
