My Story
Hi there! I’m Ginny — and I’m ready to be your happy-go-lucky sidekick! 🐾
I’m a sweet, playful, and affectionate girl who’s been soaking up all the love and learning while in foster care, and now I’m looking for my forever family!
People often say I’m outgoing and cuddly — I’ll gladly curl up next to you or roll over for belly rubs (those are the best). I make the cutest “happy” sounds when I’m playing or just feeling content, and I’ve got these big wide eyes that always look excited to see you — because I am!
I’m a pretty chill walker and love to go on little strolls or just hang out under the porch and watch the world go by. When I’m not relaxing, you can catch me playing gently with my smaller foster siblings. I’m polite with my toys, not possessive at all, and I even let my humans take them if they want to. Sharing is caring, right?
I do great on a leash and I’m super calm on walks — dogs, people, joggers, even squirrels don’t phase me. I’m not a big barker either, and I ride quietly in the car, though I’ll let you lift me in like the princess I am.
While I haven’t mastered basic commands yet (still learning!), I’m very well-mannered. I’m kennel-trained, potty-trained (I go as soon as I’m let out), and I never counter surf. I even use a doggy door like a pro!
Food? I like to graze and enjoy the finer things like wet food and pizzle stixs. I’m not protective over my food — I’m just a laid-back girl with a big heart.
The only thing I’m not quite sure about? Cats. I’ll admit I bark at them… I’m still figuring those mysterious creatures out.
My foster says her favorite thing about me is how I entertain myself with toys, greet everyone with tail wags, and how I gently wrap my paws around your arm when you pet me — it’s my way of hugging you back. 💕
If you’re looking for a loyal, sweet, and playful companion to brighten your days and warm your heart, I just might be your girl.
Love, Ginny 🐶💖

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
