My Story

Hi, I’m Bailey! All the humans at GPRA say that I’m a gentle, loving puppy who has a fun personality. I adore everyone I meet. I enjoy playing with other dogs, soft squeaky toys and chewing on bones. I am house trained and sleep well in my crate over night. My foster parent’s grandchildren came over to play and it was a fabulous time for all of us! I get along well with the other dogs at my foster’s house too.  I do pretty well with walks  on a leash, but being such a young boy, I will need some guidance. My favorite things are  to be petted and to snuggle. If you are looking for a playful, kind puppy to join your family, I could be your perfect match.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

If you look closely at my spectacular markings, you’ll see the two halves of one heart around each of my eyes. Then, focus on my kissable snout and you’ll see an upside-down heart near my whiskers. Definite proof this 15-week-old, 27 lb. girl was born lovable. Some very nice shelter people cared for me and my favorite dog in the whole world, Sidney, until we could get to GPRA. And now that we’re here, it’s find-a-family time! Don’t worry about seeing my cute freckles through my fur, GPRA’s vet treated it and soon enough I’ll shed long, white fur the way any proud Pyr would do. Speaking of things Pyrs do, I love playing outside, napping, and eating. Hopefully, I’ll find a family to do all those things with me. And maybe with Sidney? Two puppies keep each other entertained and as we grow up, we’ll always have each other when you have to leave the house to do human stuff. The GPRA humans are really good at doing adoption stuff so if you’re already thinking about my new name, (and maybe Sidney’s?), please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below.
