Good day! How are you? I am the lovable and very handsome Samson Corbin. My previous family had a major life change and could no longer care for me. So, this is why I’m with GPRA. Here are a few things my previous owners shared with GPRA about irresistible me. I have a feeling it will convince you that I’m your next big gentle giant.

“Samson is a wonderful and loveable Great Pyrenees/St. Bernard cross.” (Yep, you get the best of both breeds in me!)

“Samson is looking for a family or individual who has a fenced-in-yard and will play fetch with him or take him for walks frequently.” (Now, this is the important stuff because I love being outside and taking lots of walks with my favorite humans.)

“Samson adopts other animals into his pack very quickly.” (Yep, I am great with other dogs and cats. Collecting other animals and watching over them makes me a happy boy!  Last but not least, I really love the smaller humans you call children, too!)

“Fireworks scare Samson. He will want to be with his humans.” (If you pet me and ease my worries during those loud noises, I will be just fine!)

“Samson has all the love in the world to give to his humans.” (Yes, this is what makes me an irresistible awesome boy!)

Just a loveable boy, Samson

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.

I’m actually a loving, loyal, 2.5-year-old, 120 lb. guy, despite my adventurous sounding name. I’m great with people, happily share my food with my two medium-size dog siblings and am just about house-trained. I’ll admit to being a bit shy at first, I feel better when people sit down and we’re eye-to-eye. I bet it’s never occurred to you how tall humans look to those of us living below your knees, has it?  Of course, if we snuggle up on the couch, then we’re all set! I’m ready to try if you’re ready to use your thumbs (and fingers) to please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below.

Everyone knows THE Snoopy and as you can tell by my white ears, I’m not him. I’m a five-year-old,120 lb. boy with the same name and no tiny yellow bird on his shoulder. However, I am good with cats, dogs, kids, grown-up people and going potty outside. If it’s storming, I need to be inside with you, though. Oh, and I do not like garden hoses or baths because water scares me as much as thunderstorms.  I do, however, enjoy a good, long, run through the neighborhood. Hey, maybe that other Snoopy and I have something in common after all since we both do way cool tricks: he flies a doghouse and I climb wooden fences. Of course, neither is very safe so I guess we should both stay on the ground.  Or maybe I can stay on your lap? Don’t let my size fool you, I’m definitely a lap dog all the way. If you please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below I’ll prove it to you!

Hi I’m Sofie! My dad loves me so dearly and says I’m the perfect dog but he’s getting old and it’s hard for him to give me the best care I deserve. I’m good with other dogs, cats and our house bird. I’m also house-trained. More info coming soon…
