Greetings, my pyr people! I’m Cotton B., and I’m just bursting with excitement to meet you! My coat is beautiful, but what makes me brilliant is I’m excellent on the leash. Foster Mama says I ignore other walkers and focus on our hiking path because walking is one of my favorite activities. Another beatific quality of mine is that I can be left home alone without being destructive. I am at my absolute best when I am listening to my foster mom! The “Sit” and “Leave it” commands are my bread and butter, and Foster Mama is teaching me “Drop It” and “Place.” I need someone to continue working on commands with me to keep me in tip-top shape! I’ve already learned the most basic of commands: my name. I come when I’m called, so you’ll always have my attention. The outdoors is where I really blossom, so I’ll need a home with a fenced-in backyard. I feel so calm in the fresh, billowing air. Speaking of being relaxed, the most blissful home for me would be a quiet household with older kids or no kids with predictable routines. I thrive when I know exactly what’s going on and exactly what I’m supposed to do. What can I say? I’m a pyr, and we love our procedures! The most special-est thing about me is that my family is my beloved, and I will love and protect them with my big, pyr heart. Will you take me home and help me settle in? I promise to cuddle you and keep you warm in this chilly weather!

Hellos. I am Pyr-sweet and well-mannered Tanya! Would you like to go for a walk with me? If yes, grab a leash, and let’s go!
Before being surrendered to GPRA, I slept in a van because my owner did not have other options. Now, I’m ready for a new life and am thankful for my wonderful foster humans as they have prepared me for my own happily-ever-after.
Here are a few things my foster humans want you to know about me.
“Tanya is a lovely dog. She is also smart, strong, a protector, and a cuddler.”
“Tanya will make an ideal companion for someone who works at home and can take her on walks throughout the day. Tanya does very well on the leash and enjoys two one-mile walks each morning and evening. Otherwise, Tanya can be found napping for the remainder of the day.”
“Tanya has some resource guarding tendencies with certain things. We understand this and always trade for a higher value item with her when we absolutely have to take something away or when she will not listen to our ‘leave it’ command. (Sorry, sometimes I am a little stubborn.)
“Tanya is house trained and knows the ‘sit,’ ‘paw,’ ‘leave it,’ and ‘lay down’ commands.”
“One of Tanya’s favorite things is to be brushed. (Yes, just keep brushing.)She also lets us touch her everywhere, including paws, mouth, and trimming around the booty with no reaction.”
“Since Tanya loves car rides, it is a joy to take her with us. She does great with most other dogs and loves small children who approach and want to pet her.”
“Proper greetings with our visiting friends will help Tanya be successful. GPRA will explain this process.”
“Tanya had the best time during Georgia’s January snow days. Of course, her first reaction was to eat as much snow as possible.”
“Tanya loves staring out of our french door windows to watch the day pass by.”
Yep, I am a bit stubborn; no one is Pyr-fect, right? But, I know I will be an excellent companion with a little extra effort on my human’s part and consistency. So, are you ready to meet me?
Pyr-ready for you, Tanya
*GPRA recommends that Tanya’s home not have small children.

Hello, I am Chuck Norris. No, not ‘the’ Chuck Norris, but arguably the much better Pyr version Chuck Norris. GPRA’s care team says that I am a very happy, sometimes shy, friendly, and playful Pyr. If all 107 pounds of me will not fit on your lap, then snuggling is just fine, too! GPRA has also given me an excellent report on my leash walking manners. I am learning fast and at the prime age for some obedience training which will help me be my very best Pyr self and make you very proud of your boy! Come and meet me soon… Your Pyrly cool and gorgeous-eyed boy, Chuck Norris

I have no idea where my name came from but it’s perfectly safe to hug and kiss this two-year-old, 107 lb. boy! Just like my pack mates, I like kids, dogs, and car rides (if the truck’s not too high to climb into). I’ve never met a cat, but if they’re like people I’ll probably love jumping and loving on them just like I do humans. Yep, I’m a playful puppy, well in spirit at least. Oh, and living inside will be new for me. even though I’m not a livestock guardian, I lived outside. Hmm, I wonder where you keep your dog treats? If you can’t remember, just please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below, and maybe I can come sniff them out for you?

I am a very chill dog. Or so they say. They also say I’m 1.5-years-old, weigh 107 lbs. and play well with other dogs. Adult people are very cool; kid people usually are, as well until things get too noisy or chaotic. Remember, I’m a chill dog so a bunch of activity sometimes overwhelms me. Add housetrained, sits and shakes on command, and walks well on a leash to my awesomeness. I’m proud to say I can be left home alone for ten hours but please don’t take that long to email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” below.
