Each PYR above represents $1,000 donated. As we progress toward our goal of raising enough to save 60 PYRS, a PYR will be “turned” for each $1,000 raised.

Dear Great Pyrenees Friends,
Just 2 weeks left and we have a long way to go to achieve our goal of raising $30,000 that will be matched by our anonymous donor to cover the medical costs of 60 Gentle Giants. We have received $8,668, totaling $17,336 once matched. Please help us take full advantage of this match as it would be a shame to come up short. Every donation is important. Please click the donate link or mail checks in the next week so your donation arrives in time to be be doubled before Thanksgiving Day.
Foster/Adopter Julie Smith, shares the story of Thistle, who we recently rescued and discovered her elbow was shattered by a bullet. By the way, we are taking in 10 puppies this week from five different locations with ages ranging from 8 weeks to 12 weeks to 6 months.
Thank you,

Dear Great Pyrenees Friends,
We have surpassed 1,100 rescues since we started GPRA over 6 years ago and Korine is but one stellar example of the resiliency of the magnificent breed we so affectionately call “Gentle Giants”. Many of you have experienced or at least witnessed the journey that many of our PYRS have taken. Thanks to your involvement financially or with your time, we have rescued PYRS that have been emaciated, broken boned often requiring amputation, have had ACL and CCL tears needing surgeries and even PYRS that have been shot. Basically if the dog is a Great Pyrenees, we take them and those in the worst condition become the most stunning after our families nurture them.
We are spending over $1,000 per dog to rescue as many are heart worm positive and some need expensive surgeries like Molly Dee, who still needs a foster. We are very fortunate again this year to have our anonymous donor who will match up to $30,000 between now and Thanksgiving day. In other words, any donation to GPRA, whether $20 or $1,000, will be matched until Thanksgiving. GPRA is a 501 c 3 non profit so all donations are tax deductible. None of our volunteers get paid and virtually all donations go toward the medical care of our GIANTS. Please click the link to donate or send your check to 4651 Woodstock Road, Suite 208-185, Woodstock, GA 30075.
With your help, we can achieve our goal of covering the medical costs of 60 PYRS by matching the $30,000 by Thanksgiving. A real 30 for 30. Please play a role in making this happen. Thanks in advance for your involvement.
Thank you,
John Heldrich
