Hi y’all, I am the amazing Zara. I am a young girl around 5 months old and a PYR mix. Everyone is thinking I am a Golden Pyrador. I only know what it is like to live outside. I was suppose to be a LGD but I failed because I had no training and was expected to know what to do. I am Okay with that because that means I get to have the life of luxury now with a new family who will love me and want my companionship. In just the short time I have been with GPRA, I have been introduced to so many wonderful people who promised me that my future would be grand. My new foster home is wonderful and I am learning with it is like to be a puppy, play with other dogs, plays with kids and just have fun. There is one requirement that is non negotiable, I must have a really comfortable sofa for my mid-day naps. I just can not wait to have a family of my own. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
