Winter Greetings, my pyr friends! Us pyrs sure love this chilly weather. My foster mama says I absolutely adore being outside in the cold and exploring the backyard. It’s fun to bark out there too! Classic pyr, am I right? I have some new foster doggy siblings, and I enjoy being around them as well. When Foster Mom wants me to come back inside, she calls my name, and I listen and go to her. See, I’m a good boy! Because I listen so well, I know I’ll be house-trained in no time. I’m almost there! In the house, I just want to be near my humans. Everyone who meets me talks about how sweet and affectionate I am. They even say I’m the epitome of the pyr’s nickname: The Gentle Giant. Gosh, I’m blushing! Being a gentle giant, I am very good with kids; I love those little critters. I can’t wait to come home with you, and guess what? I’m an excellent car rider, so I’ll jump right in!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
