My Story

Hi, I’m Walter, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home! Here’s a little about me:

I’m a pretty easygoing guy when it comes to other dogs. I walk by them at the kennel just fine, and in the parking lot, I’m pretty chill too. I’m great with strangers—I’m friendly and love to meet new people. Clinic employees? I adore them and always enjoy the attention they give me. As for cats, I’m not sure yet, but I’m open to meeting them!

I walk well on a leash, though I do get a little excited when I see other dogs or people, so I might pull a bit. I’m totally fine with cars, traffic, and loud noises—they don’t bother me at all. I’m an attention-seeker, so I’ll happily come over to you when I want some love. I don’t bark a lot, but I’ll let you know when I need a little extra attention.

I’m housebroken and don’t make a mess in my space. I eat well and don’t have any food aggression—take a treat from me anytime! I’m fine with being touched all over, including my head and body, and I love being petted.

When it comes to medicine, I’m a breeze. I take ear medicine with no trouble, and I love my pill pockets for oral meds. I did great with a bath, too!

If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly companion who loves affection, I’m your guy! I can’t wait to meet you and hopefully find my new family!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
