My Story

Hello, I’m Totoro. I’m a young, curious puppy that loves to be petted and to chew on my toys. I’m a little timid at first, but once I get to know you, I warm up and lean in for pets. I love a good snout and neck rub and close my eyes in joy when it’s just right. My foster says that I’m really smart and have learned “sit” and walking on a leash. I’m learning “down” and “lay down”. I’m very food motivated, so I listen more easily when there are treats involved. I’m also working on the house training. I haven’t learned to let my humans know I need to go out yet, so I need to go out every few hours. I’m scared of loud noises like big trucks, thunder and fireworks. I also don’t like riding in a car.  My crate is a soothing place for me and I like to sleep there.

One funny thing that my foster has observed is that I’m fascinated with my own reflection. I guess it’s because I’m so handsome. If you’re looking to add an affectionate, intelligent member to your family, I might be that dapper floof! Apply to adopt me from GPRA!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
