*Out of the 4 adorable pups, Grits is still waiting for his FURever home*
My Story
Hi there! My name is Grits, and I’m here to share a little about my life and what I’m waiting for. You see, I used to have three amazing brothers, and they’ve all found their forever homes. I’m super happy for them, but now I’m hoping to find my special family soon!
I might be a bit timid at first, but once you get to know me, you’ll see just how sweet I really am. I love to snuggle and bask in the warmth of your affection. When I first arrived at GPRA, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but my wonderful foster family showed me kindness and patience, and now I’m learning to trust.
I’ve been working on my leash skills, too! At first, it felt a bit strange to walk alongside someone, but I’m getting the hang of it. I’m eager to explore the world, sniffing all the new scents and soaking up the sunshine. I promise, I’m trying my best, and I know with a little practice, I’ll be a pro!
One of my favorite things is being around other dogs. I get along wonderfully with them, and I love to play and share the space. I know there’s a big, beautiful world out there, and I want to explore it with my forever family.
So, if you’re looking for a sweet, gentle soul who’s ready to learn and share love, I’m your guy. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can be cherished just like my brothers. Until then, I’ll be here, wagging my tail and dreaming of the adventures that await!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
