Well, life’s full of surprises, huh? I’m Teddy, an 8-year-old, 80 lb. boy who never expected to be on this famous Great Pyrenees “find-a-family” website. Why? Because I never imagined my mom being unable to safely care for herself, let alone me. Sadly, she has dementia and after she fell recently, we had to face reality. Thankfully our vet knows GPRA helps Pyrs like me find wonderful new homes. In fact, I’m already living with a sweet foster family patiently “holding my paw” as I adjust to this unwanted change. We go for car rides and take snuggle naps together—both of which I love doing—and they let me eat outside in the nice weather! My foster mom says I’m good with other dogs, although I’m not sure what that means because who doesn’t like dogs, especially one this handsome? She’ll happily tell anyone interested in loving this senior guy all you need to know if you’ll please email firstname.lastname@example.org or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
