My Story

Hi, I’m Stewart!

I’m currently hanging out in boarding, but what I’d really love is a soft place to land—a foster home or, even better, a forever family of my own.

I’m a pretty easygoing guy. When I walk past other dogs in their kennels or see them out in the parking lot, I mostly mind my own business. I don’t look for trouble, and I don’t cause any. Strangers? Clinic staff? No problem at all. I respect everyone I meet and enjoy the attention I get along the way.

I walk well on a leash, and loud noises or busy traffic don’t bother me—I just take it all in stride. I’m not much of a barker and I’ve been keeping my kennel clean, so everyone thinks I’m housebroken. I eat well, can be pilled if needed, and don’t show any food aggression. You can pet me all over too—I’m pretty comfortable with gentle hands.

The shelter transporter described me as ā€œsuper sweet,ā€ and I think that sums me up pretty well. I was a little shy at first, but I settled in quickly and rode perfectly in the car—just stretched out, relaxed, and watched the world go by through the window.

I’m still waiting to meet my new person or family. If you’re looking for a calm, kind dog who just wants to be loved, I might be your guy. I can’t wait to start my next adventure with you.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
