My Story
Hi there, I’m Stanley! I’m a sweet and gentle guy who’s still warming up to the world around me. When I first arrived at GPRA, I was a bit shy and unsure, but once I trust you, I’ll show you just how loving I can be – I’ll give you lots of sweet kisses!
I’m a little nervous in new situations, especially around cars and loud noises, but I’m learning and improving every day. The volunteers say I walk nicely on a harness and am growing more confident with it each day. I really enjoy when they take me on peaceful strolls.
Once I know you, I’m very easy-going when it comes to getting attention. I like being petted and a gentle scratch under my chin is one of my favorites!
I’m looking for a family who will be patient and kind while I adjust and become more self-assured. If you’re looking for a quiet, sweet, and loving dog, I think we could be a perfect match! Apply to adopt me! I’d love to be your loyal companion!

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
