Sami Pucca
Good morning, pyr pals! I’m Sami Pucca. Foster Mom says that two words that would describe my best would be: sweet and sassy! I am one smart young pyr lady because I’m already house-trained. By pawing the back door, I let you know that it’s time for me to go outside. Pretty smart, right? I also already know the commands: sit, stay, and off. Foster Mama says I’m a superstar when it comes to training because I really listen to my humans. Right now, Foster Mom is teaching me how to be okay with loud cars. Big trucks and sirens are scary, so I lunge at them to say, “Go away!” But, my foster mom just tells me to not worry and talks me through it. During the quiet times of the day, though, I’m amazing on the leash! I listen to my humans so well because they are the stars to my moon; they’re everything to me once I get to know them. When foster mama is working at home, I’m sleeping right by her in the office. I think I’d like a family where my people are around more often than not. Another thing my foster mom is teaching me is how to be okay alone for a few hours. I get a little nervous at first, but once I see my foster pyr brother is calm, then I relax too. Having another confident dog around my size in the house will help me to feel safe and inspire my own confidence to grow. Plus, one of my super-duper qualities is that I’m playful, and another doggo would be a great companion for me! Foster Mom tells me that a home with yard is a must because this young pyr girl still gets zoomies. Please consider adopting me today because once I put my trust in you, I’ll never leave your side!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
