Great Pyrenees

Thank you for saving me, GPRA, I feel so much better! I’m a 1-year-old, 49 lb., girl an animal control officer found with some kind of wire wrapped around me. Thankfully they took me to a very nice vet who fixed me. In fact, my staples and stitches are out so I’m ready to play. At least I think I am. As a stray, I haven’t been around people to hear them talking about me. Well, one person said I like other dogs so that’s good, right? And maybe we can get together to see what kind of treats I like? Or we could explore a park to see how I interact with people? I’d be willing to bet a piece of cheese I’m a great dog who just needs a great family to help me find myself. Please email or click “Apply to Adopt” below if you want to talk to someone about being that family!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
