My Story

Hi there, my name is Rudy. I’m a sweet and gentle boy who’s looking for a loving family. I know I might seem a little shy at first, but I promise I’m a big softie on the inside. I’m still learning the ropes, but I’m trying my best to be a good boy.

I used to be pretty skinny, but thanks to my foster family’s yummy food and lots of love, I’m starting to feel stronger. I love my meals and sometimes even need a little encouragement to finish them. I’m not picky, though – I’ll eat almost anything!

I’m a mix of an athlete and a couch potato—I love my walks but also enjoy lounging around. I know some basic commands like sit and stay, and I’m pretty good on a leash, though I might need a bit more practice. ​ On walks, I’m curious about other dogs, cats, and people, and I handle passing vehicles and critters like a pro. ​

​I’m house trained and communicate my need to go out by standing by the door. ​I enjoy being brushed and bathed, though I have my sensitive spots. I’m not a fan of loud noises or being left alone for too long, but I’m working on it.

Despite my shyness, I’m actually very friendly. I love being around people, especially when they pet me. I’m a great listener and will sit patiently by your side while you talk.
