I hope you’re seeing me for what I will be instead of what I am today. I hear I’m around 8-years-old, and might have had puppies in my past. A month or so ago I found my way to a very nice person’s home with an also very nice friend who took me to a vet. It looks bad but it’s worth losing fur to get rid of all those ticks and fleas! My fur will grow back when I find a loving family to keep caring for me. My new friends, the ones also helping me find my forever GPRA family, say I’m sweet as can be, awesome with people, and played great with a 105 lb. Pitbull. And, get this, I got along with all seven—yes, seven—of their cats. So, I definitely want playtime in my future, the vet says I need to stay calm while I finish heartworm treatments. Which is double good news: my heart gets healthier and we get lots of time to cuddle. Want to start with some ear petting and see where it goes? Great! Please email info@greatpyratlanta.com, click “Contact Us” or choose “Apply to Adopt” I’ll bring my ears, you pet.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
