Great Pyrenees

Hi there, my name is Regis.  Just look at the hot mess that I am currently in.  While I look pretty pitiful now, I will soon start my transformation into the regal Pyr GPRA knows I will be.  I am about 3 yrs. old and as you can see need A LOT of TLC.  The group is still working on my medical plan and starting me on my treatment to get me on the right track.  Even though I kind of look like a science project now, I have a heart of gold and want nothing more than to be accepted for who I am.  This road may take some time for me to have the long flowing white locks again, but I will not disappoint.  My dream place to live would be with a family that understands my needs.  They need to understand that I will need special treatments with baths to help my skin get back healthy, will need a proper diet to give me the strength to overcome this neglect.  I did not deserve this!  I never did anything to anyone. I am a fighter and I will overcome these medical issues and be whole again.  To learn more about me and what my needs entail, contact GPRA today at

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
