Greetings to all! I am Pyrie. As a 14-year-old loved Pyr, my recent transition from the very best home where I lived for the past nine years to GPRA has been quite sad. You see, my devoted and loving owners can no longer care for me due to serious health issues. So, saying goodbye was sorrowful. And, as a dog-loving human, I know you understand, right?

Now, GPRA is helping me find another home where I can live out my golden years. (Thank you, GPRA, for being there for me.)

I’m a very easy keeper, and you will barely notice me around as I will curl up and doze the days away. My previous owners describe me as friendly, quiet, playful (yep, still have fun in me), obedient (I’m a faithful guardian), and easy-going.

I need a home with no stairs.

Do you have a little room in your heart and home for me? If yes, I will be grateful.

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
