My Story

Hi there! I’m Prim, and if you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate best friend, I think we should meet!

My foster says I’m a lap dog at heart—yes, even though I’m a Great Pyrenees! If you sit down outside, there’s a very good chance I’ll climb right into your lap for cuddles. I love being close to my people and will happily stick by your side on walks around the yard. Life is simply better together.

I’m a friendly, outgoing girl who absolutely adores people. Whether we’re relaxing on the couch, taking a stroll, or just hanging out in the yard, I’m happiest when I’m with my family. I also enjoy meeting other dogs and usually greet them with a curious sniff. Sometimes I even like to remind my canine friends to stay calm with a gentle nose poke or playful paw tap—it’s just my way of keeping the peace!

I’m an easy companion to have around the house. I keep my space clean, wait until I’m outside to potty, and can comfortably make it through the night without accidents. I know “sit,” walk nicely on a leash, and while new places can make me a little hesitant at first, a little encouragement helps me build confidence.

I’m respectful of fences, don’t drool, and I’m wonderfully easy to handle. Belly rubs? Yes, please! Touch my paws? No problem! Need to check my ears or give me medication? I’m amazingly cooperative. I also enjoy chewing on a Benebone, taking cozy naps, and splitting my time between relaxing indoors and enjoying the outdoors.

Car rides are still a work in progress. I need a little help getting in, but once I’m settled, I ride nicely. As my confidence grows, I know I’ll get even better!

If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a cuddle buddy, and a gentle soul who will love you with her whole heart, I just might be the perfect girl for you. I can’t wait to find my forever family and spend every day by your side. ❤️

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
