Hi, I’m Pita, a small, 2.5 year old, 71 lb. female and before GPRA I was in a shelter with my two puppies, Etta and Frieda, starving for food and attention. Our first family gave us away but thanks to my most wonderfullest foster, things are great now. And, I’m learning about myself. It’s long list for a young dog so here goes: I’m catching on to leash walking and house training pretty well; I like playing with other dogs and tall people but I haven’t met the ones you call “kids” yet; I don’t care much for toys; and I don’t drool, dig, or jump fences. Most important, I love being near my people. I bond really fast so PLEASE be someone who will let me sit next to you on the furniture and the bed. I do not like being alone, so if you forget to crate me when you have to leave (I think you call that going to work, right?), I might chew stuff. I’m crossing my paws we can change that with some love, security, and patience. Do you like any of these things enough to meet me? If yes, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
