My Story

Hi there, I’m Phoenix, and I’m just a Great Pyrenees puppy trying to find my way in this big, new world. I’ve had a bit of a rough start, but I’m ready for a fresh beginning.  I’m living in a wonderful foster home, and things are much calmer. I’m starting to realize that I don’t have to be afraid all the time. I’m super sweet and gentle, and all I want is love. If you pet me, I’ll melt right into it—I love cuddles and kind words! I’ve had no accidents in my puppy room and I’m walking well on the leash.  The leash was a new experience for me, but I did really well. I can be a little shy around other dogs when we first meet, but I’m confident that once I get to know them, I’ll be just fine. I did really well with my bath and grooming session, too! The humans were so gentle, and I didn’t mind it at all.

When I first meet new people, I can be a little timid. Sometimes I cower, but it’s not because I don’t like you—it’s just that I’m a little scared at first. But as soon as I hear a happy voice and feel those gentle hands, I warm up fast. I’m really good at showing affection once I feel comfortable, and I think you’ll find that I’m a loyal and loving companion.

I might be a little unsure at times, but I’m a good boy at heart. I’m looking for a family who can be patient with me, help me feel safe, and show me the love I’ve been missing. I promise that once I settle in, I’ll be your loyal, gentle giant who’s always ready for some pets and cuddles.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate pup who just needs a little guidance, I think we’d be a great match. I can’t wait to meet you and show you just how much love I have to give! 🌟

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
