My Story

Hi, I’m Oakley 🌿

I came to rescue from a small south Georgia shelter after being dumped at a common spot, where kind people made sure I stayed safe along with my friends Rose and Dahlia. We don’t have much of a backstory, but what people learn about me quickly is that I’m very sweet and friendly with both people and other dogs.

Some say I have a bit of an Eeyore look—but don’t let that fool you. I’m a happy, slow-moving, chill guy who wags his tail at first glance. When you call my name, I come right over for pets, tail wagging the whole time. I truly enjoy gentle affection and quiet companionship.

Right now, I’m in boarding, and while I’m being well cared for, I’m hoping for a foster or, even better, a forever home where I can finally relax and feel safe. I’m the kind of dog who tugs at your heart without even trying—just by being me. 💙
