Nova
Most people know the word “Nova” means “new star” so think of me as a 6-month-old, 47 lb. girl and GPRA’s new star! My owner cannot take me when she deploys so I’m searching for a new home. You can tell from my pictures I’m a Pyrenees mix but there’s more to me than my gorgeous face. First, I’m a puppy and puppies are just awesome. Second, I’m good on the leash and respond to “sit”, “come” and “off”. I love all people, kids, cats, dogs, baths, and brushings. Oh, and I’m fine alone in the house for about three yours (puppy, remember? I’ll get better with the home alone thing). I am also really scared of the vacuum cleaner and my owner hasn’t really had time to finish house training me, but I do cry at the door when I need to go (most of the time). She didn’t crate train me or stop my counter surfing but again, I’m only six months old so lots of time to learn. Do you have time to help? If yes, please email info@greatpyratlanta.com or click “Apply to Adopt” below.
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
