My Story

Hi, I’m Murray! I’m getting ready to go to a foster home soon, and I’ve been doing pretty well in boarding at the vet clinic. When I’m walking by other dogs in the kennel, I’m more focused on getting outside, though I might stop and sniff if the moment calls for it. I’m a bit shy at first with new people, but once I get to know them, I’m gentle and sweet.

I walk really well on a leash, and I enjoy going for rides in the car—nice and calm. I’m very laid back overall, and you won’t hear much from me—I’ve been pretty quiet since I’ve been here. I do graze when it comes to eating and haven’t shown any signs of food aggression. I’m also housebroken, which means I don’t make a mess in my kennel.

If you need to give me meds, I’m good about ear meds, but I’ll need to be pilled for oral meds. I’m also fine with being touched, whether it’s on my head or body—no issues there. I’m not too worried about loud noises, but I do need to be watched closely because I can escape a fence if given the chance, so I need to be safely contained.

Overall, I’m a sweet, laid-back guy looking forward to finding my perfect spot in a forever home where I can continue to relax and enjoy life.

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
