Hello, darlings! I’m Maggie Lou, and I’m so pleased to meet you! My second name: Lou means “famous warrior,” but I’m a lover, not a fighter. My foster mama says I’m very sweet and love to snuggle! Really, any form of attention is wonderful for me. I even enjoy being brushed and bathed! Us famous warriors have to keep up appearances, after all. My first name: Maggie means “jewel,” and I promise I’ll shine like a diamond because of how smart I am. For example, I’ve already learned how to use the doggy door, so I’m basically housetrained! Another one of my sparkling skills is that I’m good on the leash. Foster Mom tells me I’m a dream to walk, especially because I’m friendly to all the people and dogs that I meet. Please consider taking me home today. My love for you will glow diamond-bright!

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
