Thank you for your service, Dad, but I wish you and mom weren’t deploying to Africa. And I wish this 2-year-old, 87 lb. girl didn’t need a new home but I’m grateful you care enough to ask GPRA to help me find it. Hopefully, my docile, smiley, and timid nature, along with being housetrained will work in my favor. Oh, and I’m great with kids, dogs, cats, and even farm animals. New adult humans, however, are a different story. I won’t hurt you—I’ve never even growled at anyone—just please give me time to warm up. It’s best to ignore me while I assess the situation and let me come to you. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
