Our Story

Hi, we’re Maddie and Mabel! 🤍🤍

We’re sisters, best friends and a bonded pair who are looking for a forever home together. We’ve always had each other, and that’s exactly how we want it to stay!

We’re two incredibly sweet, friendly and affectionate girls who love attention from our people. We may look a lot alike, but we each have our own special personality.

Maddie is our resident hugger. She loves being close to her people and may even climb into your lap when you sit down. She occasionally grumbles when another dog approaches while she’s soaking up affection from her favorite person, so she may need a gentle reminder that there is plenty of love to go around.

Mabel is respectful, gentle and likes to stay close by. She’ll even sit nicely when she wants attention! She also has a playful side and will occasionally chase a ball, pick it up, toss her head and proudly gallop around the yard with it.

We’re tall, lanky girls who look absolutely adorable running and bouncing around together. We enjoy walks and outdoor playtime, but we also settle down nicely when it’s time to relax. We both walk on a leash, although we may pull a little if you aren’t keeping up with our long-legged pace!

We’re housetrained and know how to use a doggie door. We’ve respected our foster family’s fence, but we may try to slip through an open gate, so our future family will need to be careful when coming and going and make sure the yard is securely fenced.

Neither of us is particularly food motivated. We prefer to graze throughout the day and share our food and space nicely without guarding. We’re not big chewers or overly interested in toys, although Mabel occasionally enjoys playing with a ball.

We do well with other dogs and enjoy being around people. We haven’t spent enough time around children to know how we feel about them yet. We’re also quiet girls who rarely bark and barely drool. We love being petted all over and are comfortable having our ears, paws and bellies touched.

We load easily into the car and ride very well, so we’ll be happy to join our family for new adventures. Sudden sounds like gunshots or fireworks can make us nervous, but low rumbles of thunder don’t seem to bother us.

More than anything, we’re loving sisters who want a family to cherish us both. We bring twice the sweetness, twice the affection and twice the love—and we promise the right family will be doubly blessed to have us!

We’re bonded for life and ready to find our forever home together. Could it be with you? 🐾

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
