Hi! I’m Luna, the 3-year-old, 76 lb girl GPRA just rescued from the local shelter where my family left me. I heard them say they could not afford to take care of me and even though it sounds sad, I am a actually a very happy, lucky Pyr. Want to know why? Well, it’s because I am named after the Roman goddess of the moon, I love to snuggle, I already know FIVE human commands—sit, shake, down, leave it, and come—I enjoy playing with cats as long as they’re not hanging around while I eat, and my most favorite thing to do is please my people. Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
