My Story

Hi, I’m Lucy 💛

I’m new to the rescue after coming from a shelter, and I’m so ready to start my next chapter—hopefully with a foster or forever family.

I’ll be honest… I can be a little shy at first. New people and new places take me a minute to figure out, but once I warm up, I show my sweet and gentle side. The people taking care of me say I’m friendly—I just need a little time and patience to feel safe.

I’m a pretty easygoing girl. I don’t bark much, I walk nicely on a leash, and I keep my space clean (yep, I’m house trained!). I’m also doing much better with my ear treatments now that I’m feeling more comfortable and not in pain anymore.

The kennel environment can be a little overwhelming for me, but with the right guidance and a peaceful environment, I know I can truly relax and be my best self.

I’m looking for someone who will give me a little time, a lot of love, and a safe place to land. In return, I’ll be a loyal, sweet companion who’s so grateful to finally be home.

Could you be my person? 🐾💛

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
