Just a small-town boy, born and raised…well, uh, I don’t know actually. I only know I’m 1.5 years old, weigh 76 lbs. and rode in a car with a very nice person to this big city called Atlanta. All the way here this kind human told me GPRA will find me a new family and a safe place to live. That sounds so much better than the cement-block building I just left! I wish I had lots of magic words to spread across your screen to help you choose me, but I don’t know anything about myself, except I’m supposedly good with other dogs. Someone called me a stray, which doesn’t sound like a great thing, but I believe I have greatness in me. After all, I am a GREAT Pyrenees, right? And I bet you have greatness in you, too since you’re reading this page and thinking about opening your home to one of us. Please, can it be me? Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
