My Story

Hi, I’m June—a gentle, playful girl with a big heart and a touch of quirky charm. I’m just over a year old and settling into my foster home, where I’m starting to relax, eat well, and show my happy personality. I grew up with young kids (ages 3 and 7), and I absolutely adore children—I’m patient, kind, and always up for a cuddle or playtime.

I’m crate trained, housetrained, and easy to walk on a leash. I’ve also traveled a lot and do great on long car rides. I’m playful with other dogs, respectful with cats, and submissive with new furry friends. At about 58 pounds, I’m on the smaller side for a Pyr, which makes me a perfect size for families who want all the love and loyalty of a Great Pyrenees in a slightly smaller package.

I’m not much of a foodie (except if you share your morning coffee with half-and-half—that’s my little secret indulgence!), but I’ll happily trade snacks for belly rubs and ear scratches. I do have a couple of quirks: wood floors make me a little hesitant, and I’d rather be gently encouraged from behind with some butt scratches than pulled from the front. Those little things just make me extra special.

I’ve been described as smart, sweet, and easygoing, and I can’t wait to find a forever family who will love me as much as I’ll love them. Could that be you? 🐾

Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta

Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
