Hi, Everybody! I’m Joe Cruz! This Joe goes with the flow. I’m such a sweet boy. I’m good with kids, people, and other dogs. At the dog park, I like to sniff the other dogs and be friendly. As Foster Mama says, I don’t have a mean bone in my body! When I’m at home, I love to play with my doggy sibling. All I really want to do, though, is be where you are. While you’re having your morning cup of joe, I’ll sit by you for some pets and snuggles. Foster Mom also says I’m very calm. My gentle demeanor means I am great with kids! My young foster human sibling is brushing me in one of the pictures, and I just let her get on with it. Being groomed is something I tolerate very well. Another thing I like to do is chew, so I’ll need some sturdy chew toys! On the leash, I’m a little like a joey, a baby kangaroo, learning how to walk because I weave and pull. Foster Mama tells me I’m a fast learner, though, so I’ll be cruzing, I mean cruising, smoothly down the sidewalk in no time! Also, car rides and stairs are not my vibe, but I’m working on it. One thing I can’t learn to love is the crate. I think it’s because I love my people so much that I want to be able to guard the family home while they’re out. As every Joe Schmoe knows, pyrs like to protect their home! The good news is I’m basically housetrained! Here’s the deal: I’m no average Joe. I’m Joe Cruz, and I’m a very special and soft-hearted pyr who can’t wait to go home with you!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
