Homer
It’s in the name! I’m Homer, and I want to go home with you! While being home is my favorite place to be, I’m a very friendly dog. I love every human that I meet! For the humans who take me home, I really need people who are home more often than not as they’re my whole word. Because I love my humans so much, I want to respect their home, and I show my respect by being basically housetrained. Homebodies have friends too, and I love to make friends with other dogs. I used to live with other dogs, so I would enjoy other canine companions at home. So far, on my neighborhood walks, I’ve been excited to greet each dog that I see. Cats are great housemates for me too. When we leave home, though, I’m good on the leash, so we can meet more people and pups at a leisurely pace. For my new home, I’d love a big backyard because I’m a pyr pup with pyr pup energy, and I need to get out my zooms. My foster mama has already started puppy training with me, so I’ve learned “paw” and “no.” We’re already working on “sit” too. I’m a loving, young pyr boy who can’t wait to hang out with my new family. After all, there’s no place like home!
Donate to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta
Our main mission at GPRA is to find the right permanent home for Great Pyrenees in distress, whether they are strays or from an overpopulated kill or no-kill shelter. We don’t care how old they are or what their medical condition is because we will make sure they receive a comprehensive medical evaluation, spaying or neutering, and even behavioral training if necessary.
